Coachella weekends are done, music festivals are still going on in different parts of the world. Music festivals are mostly prepared for a year and come spring time its the perfect season to be out enjoying the sun and the cool breeze.
Back in the day when my dad was in his early years of college. My dad who is a Hippie with a happy heart would drive down to music festivals with friends to indulge with drinks, the music and of course chicks.
Totally live in the moment adventure.
My dad was very open with me since he shows how much he knows that I can handle myself and that I may be a girl, but he taught me better.
My dad shared with me his days of hanging out with chicks and how easy it was for him to get his grove on with the ladies with just the perfect pair of shades, sporty cotton made head band to give an athletic vibe and for a very tall man ( 6 feet tall ) He would pair himself with the perfect white T-shirt.
Now that my dad is in heaven,(I know you’re proud of me dad) I am inspired to create a retro look similar to some of his essentials.
Guitar, Gladiator heels, flower head band and a cool yellow tone round shades.
Heels: CHARLOTTE RUSSE
Head band: FOREVER21
Guitar : OLYMPIA GUITARS
My review with the shades:
While most of the shades are black or brown. This fabulous yellow tone round shades from http://www.forever21.com lightens and brightens up everything. It’s a most definte keep. I DON’T recommend it though if the sun is really high up. It gets too bright for me I can’t keep up.
Instead of my dad’s athletic headband, I used the flower crown. It definitely completed the retro look.
Where did flower crowns originated?
History of flower headbands:
Flower headbands originated in greece. Flower crowns were common in ancient Greece; it was especially popular to wear them at special occasions to honor the gods. In 1960’s flower headbands were practically synonymous with hippie culture—and flower crowns became a fashion accessory mainstay associated with peace and love, all ideals of the movement. Though the hippie style was a subculture of the time, it influenced mainstream fashion, thus bringing flower crowns back into style at weddings.

Inspire from my dad’s favorite white shirt style. I got this top from http://www.forever21.com. Instead of just wearing a plain white T-shirt, I spiced it up with a more feminine touch with this off shoulder lace top with an inner crop top.
Review on this top:
Off shoulder top gives the perfect sexy feeling in a addition to a crop top inner cover. It feels really liberating to actually wear something that’s not the usual. It may not be for everybody.Although I FEEL, women on all shapes and sizes, wearing a crop top and off shoulder, can be pulled off. With a fearless attitude, a kind heart and confidence for confidence is the root of sexy.
